How did the idea for “The Word Shirts”  come to be?

I (Rose) have been making custom shirts for 8 years. A couple of years ago God showed me through a series of events in my life that He has given me talents, means, and ability. With all of these things at my disposal, why was I not sharing His word? I then realized that everything I have belongs to God; the work I’ve been doing belongs to God, and I want to give His word, His truth, to others. Making shirts is the gift He’s given me to share His word with others. I want to glorify God in everything that I do, He’s given me a way to do just that.

All the shirts that we (my family and I) make are free because God’s word is free. If you would like to donate, we will gladly accept your donations, which give us the means to share God’s word with others. A shirt is read approximately 3,000 times in its lifetime, which means that one shirt can reach people in places that we would never expect. The more shirts we send out, the more people that are reached in the community, which means more people that read God’s word, even if it’s just for a split second. We pray that of all the shirts that we send out, just one shirt would reach one person at the right time in their life, planting a seed that will become a beacon of light for others. We feel blessed every time a shirt goes out, and we pray that the people wearing them would wear God’s word proudly, as the light of the world to those in darkness.
